Religion is faith and faith is religion

Earth is a small particle of the galaxy. Scientists have found many more galaxies recently. We who live in this world live for ourselves and die without yielding anything worth for the life given to us.

Saint Manikavasagar says that man has had several births and finally achieves the human birth. Auvaiyar the great Tamil scholar stated mupJ mupJ khdpluhjy; mupJ.

Many who are redeemed from the cycle birth have had faith in the religion and karmic theory. They understood that whatever we sow is harvested by us. That means whatever deed we do has a positive or negative result.

From the birth of earth the beings followed the law of nature. It is the human who understood the nature worshiped fire, sun, and certain animals like cow and elephant. Soon man developed faith in the leaders, spiritual gurus, saints and Rishis – the seers of God- who obtained the knowledge and power of mantras. The mantras led the people to see the form of Gods and their power in form and drew pictures of Gods. Later they made statues out of stones and in other metals and worshipped and consequently built temples for Gods. Each community led by a Godly man/woman or Guru started to follow the path shown by them.

Today we have millions of people following hundreds of religions with faith in their religion. The religious worship, rites, rituals were gradually introduced. They became the strength of the religion. The people who follow a religion honor and respect their language as its the language of their religious leader.

The Hindus believed that the Lord Murugan spelled out in Tamil and therefore Murugan is the God of Tamil. Thus, there are tumultuous religions in this small planet. In a community which follows Hinduism we can find their religious faith in many forms. They dress according to their Hindu Tamil tradition. Men wear veshti and shawl and national. Ladies wear long skirts and blouses and saree. They wear holy ash and sandal paste on their forehead. Married women wear red Kumkum in the mid point between the eyebrows and wear flower garland on their plaits or kondai.

Hindus follow the almanac for each and every deal at home in the office and at home and in the temple. They follow the best time in a day to begin a work, fix marriage or housewarming ceremony or to lay foundation for a building. They depend on the almanac for harvesting, sowing, conducting functions and festivals.

The faith in the Hindu religion is found in the belief the people have in astrology and astronomy too. If people do not follow their religious path and do not have faith in their religion, they go on changing from one religion to another and mess up their lives by not achieving the target of human birth. Those who follow their religion with faith attain the boon of attaining Mukthi and finding the end of their birth cycle in this birth itself.
